What are your simple pleasures for summer?

Wednesday was summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, signalling the official start of summer. The weather has been pretty balmy across the UK recently, and I’ve been enjoying cool lemonades, evening walks, and dinners outside.

With the warmest, sunniest weather still to come, I’ve been thinking about lots of simple summertime pleasures.

Here are some of my favourites:

Eating juicy strawberries straight from the punnet
Beach barbecues as the tide rolls in
Open-air concerts and festivals
Reading in the garden
Watermelon salads
Going to the farmer’s market
Fruit-infused water
Leaving your hair to air dry
Outdoor string lights
Corn on the cob
Wildflowers
S’mores
Dappled sunlight

What are yours? I’d love to hear!
